''After reviewing this independent film project, I quickly noticed that not only does it have a power start, but also a powerful ending. In Buena Gente, I immediately noticed the drama which was good. It involved a female and a male who were dating, but the female finds out her boyfriend gave her a STD. The STD that was chosen for the female to have was a curable STD which allowed the film to have space for laughter. Although no STD is fun to have, since it was curable the comedy was well accepted that went along with the film. Nick Talentino played Chris, the main character; he did a really good job. Yomaris Maldonado, as his girlfriend, Desiree showed great skill. As the movie goes on more issues come about which made the movie more interesting. There was a scene in which Desiree was grabbed by a local male drug dealer in the neighborhood. At this point you can clearly see that Desiree is not having a good day. She goes through a chain of bad events from getting a STD, breaking up with Chris & getting harassed by a local drug dealer. I liked how Chris slowly starts to realize that Desiree, the girlfriend he had been avoiding, was really the right woman for him. Throughout the movie I saw a lot of action and conniving personalities which kept my eyes stuck on the film wondering 'what's going to happen next.' At the end of the film it was nice how Chris and Desiree got back together.''
''As for the production I thought Baez did a magnificent job with the shots, angles, and audio being that this was his first independent feature film. He also wrote, produced, and directed this entire film and even had a small acting scene, which was done well. If I were to rate Buena Gente from 1 to 10 without a doubt its a 10. As far as what needs improvement in the film; it would be the transitions from one scene to the next. Otherwise, it was an absolutely magnificent film, which not only has morals, but a positive message, as well.''
